Editing my digi pack photo.

Here is the picture i am editing to be on my digi pack:

I am going to take the background out so i can then add colour to it at a later time. I may also add some effects to help the picture stand out more on the digi pack.

CD Digipack

I have been looking at templates for digi packs so i now have an idea of what one looks like i what content i need to create one. I have took a screenshot out of my music video as i am thinking about using this as my cd cover. I am going to edit the photo on photoshop to see if it will work for my digi pack. Here is a digi pack template:

Music video poster examples.

Today i have started to look at examples of posters to get a style model to be influenced off. The posters are used to promote an album or a particular song off the album, they are used to draw consumers in and attract the right type of audience that the artist has targeted. Here are some examples of posters used the advertise a song or album:

Some posters are bright and colourful while others use more darker colours. The reason for this may be because of the type of song/album they are promoting, if its a dark song they could use the dull colours to represent this whereas an upbeat song will have the brighter colours used.

What i need to film.

There are still some parts of the song that i have not yet filmed for so this week i will be having a third day of filming and i also still need to re-film some more of my clips because the background of them wasn't right. I have planned out what i need to film so i wont be filming unnecessary clips that i don't need.

Editing my video.

Today i started to edit all my clips together to start the making of my music video, i am using i movie to do this. When editing i have had to get the lip syncing in time with the music over the top and doing this has meant i have had to re-film some clips because the quality of the lip syncing wasn't a high enough standard. After re-filming and using the new clips it has been much easier to get in in time.

I have chosen to use a black and white affect throughout my video because i feel like is a simple affective way to help things stand out but also blend well together. After adding the black and white affect i felt like the clips were still quite light and not dark enough so i went onto 'video adjustments' and changed the brightness and contrast of the clips.

Here is a before and after of a clip after i done this. I feel like it has made the clip sharper and helps the shadow in the background to stand out a lot more against the wall and gives it more definition.

Second day of filming.

Today i re-filmed some of the previous clips i filmed because the quality or location wasn't good. I also filmed some successful new clips that i have now started to edit together on imovie. Here are some screenshots of clips that i filmed today :

First day of filming

Today i done my first attempt of filming. After importing my clips to imovie i discovered that some the the clips i filmed have to be redone because the quality on some of them doesn't look professional. However some clips were good quality and were okay to use for my video. Here are some screenshots of clips that were affective and i will be keeping:

Here i filmed a close up of Hollys lips while she was lip syncing. I then added a black and white affect over it.

Here i just filmed Holly's shadow on the wall rather than actually filming holly, i think the affect i made with lighting really helped the shadow to stand out against the wall. 

I have now started using imovie to edit the clips together. This week i will filming to rest of what i need to do and also re-filming the parts that i need to.
