Starting to plan the layout of my music video.

Today on imovie i started to plan the layout of my music video, doing this has helped me to know what i exactly need to film so i'm not filming clips that i don't end up using because this can be time consuming. Here is what my layout looks like so far:

The planning of my music video- Hair and Makeup.

For my music video i want to keep things simple but affective. I have chose to keep Hollys makeup natural with a light smokey eye with pale natural lipstick.

For Holly's hair i have chose to have natural 'beach waves', i think this is a really affective look as its simply but having Hollys hair down will work well when she is dancing.

The planning of my music video- The location.

For my location i wanted somewhere that had plain walls but would be effective. I also needed somewhere with enough space for Holly to dance throughout the video. After looking into different locations i have decided the best place for filming my music video will be the drama studio. The drama studio has plain walls with black curtains and black floor space for Holly to dance on, i think the black curtains and floor will contrast well with her outfit.

The planning of my music video- costume and actor.

As i now know the song i will be using for my music video this has allowed me to start planning everything. I have chosen my actor in the video will be Holly who has already featured in my previous work so i know she is a good choice for this type of thing. The first thing i decided on was the costume, in the video Holly will be wearing a plain black crop top with plain black leggings and white shoes. I chose to keep the costume simple but affective.

Starting to plan my main task music video

Today i chose the song i will be using. I have decided it will be 'love on top' by Beyonce, i chose this song because it is a vary upbeat song and this will help while creating the music video because i can use the beats to make different movements within the video. Another reason i chose this song is because the song is not dull and makes people think of having a good time because it is so upbeat.

What I plan to do for my main task

For my main task I have decided I will be creating a music video. I decided this because I really enjoyed the work I previously done for the preliminary task. My music video genre will be pop music and style models will be videos such as Beyoncé videos. I chose Beyoncé because her videos are upbeat and are often fun to watch.

I am really happy with how our music video turned out as this was our first time using imovie and using cameras to film.
